Responsibilities
The role of a Service Technician is to be natural problem solver who enjoys using their deep experience and broad skills in the AV Industry to quickly get clients back up and running on the technical Systems our Client has implemented. They will determine warranty status, implement new equipment as required based upon findings during visit, offer upgrade paths for older systems and be the face of the company to represent the Client's brand name.
Qualifications
5+ years as an Install Technician in custom high-end residential Audio Video Systems.
Proficient in Crestron, Savant, Lighting Systems (Lutron/Crestron/Vantage), Shades, Climate Control, Security, CCTV, Telephone and IT Networks.
Proficient in Setup, Configuration, Calibration and commissioning of equipment on multiple platforms.
Proficient in Cameras Security, Access Control, Credential Documentation
Some programming knowledge basics for Crestron, Savant, Lighting and Access Control.
Proficient in understanding of signal flow and blueprints.
Proficient in digital video distribution systems.
Proficient in distributed audio systems.
Proficient in sub system integrations.
Proficient and able to communicate with equipment manufacturers.
Ability to obtain resources and read manuals to solve problematic situations.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Ability to consistently seek out and acquire information
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced demanding environment.
Excellent customer services skills in high-pressure situations.
Ability to navigate quickly through obstacles as they arise.
Has a positive and can-do attitude.
Workmanship is consistent, error free and on time.
Knowledge of construction techniques and wiring methods for new construction and retrofit projects.
Proficient with hand power tools used to complete physical installations of speakers, displays, equipment racks and ventilation systems.
Ability to constantly create contingency plans as the service call requires to get the clients back up and running.
Physical requirements include standing, sitting, walking, bending, climbing, reaching and lifting up to 80 lbs.
